Ewan is an accomplished quality professional with over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including more than a decade as a GMDP Inspector with the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). He has most recently held theposition of Lead Senior Inspector. Known for his deep regulatory knowledge, leadership ininspection strategy, and commitment to compliance excellence, Ewan has played a pivotal rolein shaping inspection practices both nationally and internationally. His career spans hands-onmanufacturing, quality management, and high-level regulatory oversight, making him arespected figure in the global pharmaceutical quality landscape. Ewan is a renowned presenterfor MHRA across UK, Europe, India, and China.
Prior to joining the MHRA Ewan had 19 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working with both large and small pharma companies where he was responsible for Managing a Quality Unit of over 35 people. He has hands-on manufacturing experience of APIs, Cytotoxic products,and Biologic intermediate products (Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs)) and has representedsites as the main host for FDA and MHRA regulatory inspections.
